Every child has the right to warmth, optimal health, & happiness.

Following the fall of the Afghan government to the Taliban, the Canadian government promised to accept 40,000 Afghan refugees. Many families are arriving with minimal necessities. In addition, escaping the traumatic environment compromises their mental health.  

For Project Salam سلام, the CHANGE team is equipping Afghan refugee youth with winter care packages including clothing for warmth (e.g., mittens, hats, scarves, etc.), a mental health informative guide, and fun activities for de-stressing (e.g., toys, colouring pages, books, etc).
