Sahar is the Co-Executive Director of CHANGE, where she is in charge of managing the group's everyday operations and organizational viability.
Sahar’s interests in advocacy, health, and research have led to her taking part in several initiatives in various capacities. As a research assistant, she is involved in Complementary, Alternative, and Integrative Medicine (CAIM) research in the context of cancer. She is a member of a team that is examining the CAIM data provided by and therapies offered to cancer patients in the world's top-ranked cancer hospitals. She also partakes in approach avoidance conflict research as a research assistant in a cognitive neuroscience lab at the University of Toronto. As a volunteer, she creates painting tutorials for children with special needs.
Sahar’s passion for children’s health stems from her belief that access to high-quality healthcare is a basic right. Through her work with CHANGE, she hopes to bring attention to the global health crises that children are facing and provide information on what can be done to address them.
Sahar is currently in her final year of study at the University of Toronto pursuing a double major in Human Biology and Neuroscience and a minor in Psychology. In her free time, she enjoys reading, painting, baking, and watching sit-coms.
