MELISSA CARTWRIGHT

Research Assistant

Melissa is a Research Assistant for CHANGE. She is responsible for conducting literature searches and re-packaging peer-reviewed research into accessible information.


Melissa is a recent graduate of the University of Toronto, having completed a double major in Human Biology and Neuroscience with a minor in Psychology. She is currently working as a Student Recruitment Assistant at the University of Toronto Scarborough, where she provides admissions, academic program, and campus information to prospective students. Melissa has also volunteered as a Research Assistant in an Animal Physiology lab. She assisted with a variety of non-administrative tasks, which included preparing resources, equipment, materials, documenting results, and analyzing behavioral data. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, and playing the piano. 


Through working with CHANGE, Melissa hopes to spread awareness and understanding of how the COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately affected children in countries around the world. Additionally, she looks forward to sharing information about the different solutions that can be put together on an individual and systemic level.
