HADIA RAFIQZAD

Executive Director

Hadia Rafiqzad is CHANGE’s Co-Executive Director where she is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations, programs, and strategic plan of the group. 


Hadia is pursuing her Honors Bachelor of Science, double majoring in Neuroscience and Psychology, and minoring in biology. As a Clinical Research Assistant at the Toronto General Hospital with the Kidney Health Education and Research Group, Hadia works to identify, raise awareness of, and carry out projects aiming to eliminate psychosocial and ethnocultural barriers to living donor kidney transplantation. As the Research and Evaluation Director of the Afghan Youth Engagement and Development Initiative, Hadia is responsible for designing and conducting evaluations of their projects and programs, carrying out literature reviews and jurisdictional scans to identify key issues and support AYEDI’s advocacy priorities, and perform research and analysis related to AYEDI’s strategic objectives. Hadia also enjoys drinking coffee, reading, writing poetry, and baking.  


Through working with CHANGE, Hadia hopes to make knowledge of global health crises that disproportionately affect children access to the public and provide opportunities for individuals to support causes addressing these issues.
